How to migrate products
In a telegraphic nutshell: both modules are used to handle XML files (feeds). Feeder exports data to XML files, and Importer imports data from XML files.
Both modules work with PrestaShop 1.6, 1.7, 8.x and 9.x, so you can migrate (and synchronize) data between any two PrestaShop stores.
Exporting and importing data using these modules is easy to do, requires no programming knowledge and will take you a few moments.

Install PSHowFeeder on your old store and export XML
- Install the PShowFeeder module in your store. The module installs the same way as other PrestaShop modules.
- On the main screen in the PShowFeeder module configuration, you will find a list with ready-made export templates.
- Find the template "Full standard products" - in this template we have prepared the export of all product information. Go to the "Export data" step:
- Copy the link to the XML feed:
TIP: You can rely on the default export configuration, or you can freely edit the export template to select and modify the data you want to export to the XML feed.

Install PShowImporter on your new store and import XML
- Install the PShowImporter module in your store. The module installs in the same way as other PrestaShop modules.
- On the main screen in the PShowImporter module configuration, you will find a list with sample import templates.
- Click [+] to add a new import template - name your template and paste the links to the XML feed you copied from the PShowFeeder module:
- Return to the list of templates and find your import template. From the context menu, upload a configuration file for your template, which you download from here:
- In your import template, go to the last step "Import". In this step, run an automatic import or add products one by one to validate the data.
- Done :-)
TIP: You can rely on the default import configuration or you can freely edit the import template. Select and modify the data you want to import into your PrestaShop store.
TIP 2: If you are importing products to a store that is actively selling, we recommend that you test the data migration on a test copy of the store. Learning both modules will protect you from errors, overwriting or duplicate data.
