Our History... We made our first PrestaShop module 20 years ago

We did not plan to make modules

About us - history of PrestaShow

In PrestaShow we took our first steps with websites in 2004. There were two of us - a programmer and a graphic designer.

After lectures at the university and in our free time, we learned programming: we read books from Helion publishing house, made tutorials from the Internet. we learned about graphic applications, HTML, CSS, JS and even some PHP.

We also did small programming jobs, wrote scripts and websites.

2008

During university fieldwork in Bialowieza, we received an email with our first order for an online store. Before us stood the world of eCommerce and online sales. We did not yet know that the Internet would reinvent commerce.

Intuition told us that building an online store was an interesting challenge, and we learned about several ready-made store engines. We combined graphic designs with Adobe Photoshop into templates, and modified the store for customer requirements. We implemented the first store on KQS engines, and then PrestaShop 1.4.

It came out pretty well and before we knew it we had another client.

Our first PrestaShop implementations from 2011.

We followed the principle that nothing is impossible, and the implementation of any need is only limited by time. We became fond of eCommerce, but had not yet considered designing modules....

Our first PrestaShop module

PrestaShow in 2012

Year 2012

We created the first custom module for the owner of an online store we supported.

The module allowed to place graphic banners in any places of the PrestaShop store. The module and the client are with us to this day, and the client's store is in TOP3 of Polish online stores in its category (erotica).

Having the first module that could work in any store on the market, we started designing graphics for our own website. We saw that it was going to be eCommerce.

We saw in the modules a growing demand for ready-made solutions and the opportunity to enter "this industry". We also saw competition in the market.

PrestaShow in 2014 - 2020

2014

We already had a few simple modules on offer. Each module sold made us immensely happy and allowed us to establish contacts with online stores. We did not look back. We had ideas and wanted to create the market.

We launched our own online store. Due to the fact that it was at the same time a business card, we found that there must be a blog module, where we would write what we were up to and write about technical topics related to PrestaShop.

Year 2018

Our store had more than a dozen modules and we decided to open up to the world.

We launched payments in the store in PLN, EUR, GBP and USD currencies and translated into English. We brought the mobile version up to scratch and launched social media: Facebook and Instagram.

We focused on developing the backend to maintain the modules and on providing support for our customers. We introduced:

  • Update System: a system for convenient updates
  • Module Backbone: a system for managing licenses and new versions of modules.
  • HelpDesk and Knowledge Base (FAQ).

2019

In 2019, we released globally unique modules that allow 2-way integration: importing and exporting data to the online store. We've been building these two solutions since 2012, but it wasn't until 2019 that they became affordable enough for a novice store owner to start integrating their store with external tools and product providers.

Setting standards and creating new opportunities for small and medium-sized online stores has become our goal in action.

We have developed a category of modules that allow you to interact with your customers: the Affiliate Program and Loyalty Program modules have allowed Polish entrepreneurs to implement solutions in their online stores previously available only to the whales of the eCommerce market.

2021

We already know more or less what we are doing and how we need to measure its effects. We find ourselves in the topics and needs of the eCommerce market. Our team consists of specialists spread all over the country.

You can find 35 professional modules for PrestaShop-based online stores.

The methodology of communication and remote work, which we have developed over the past decade, allows us to take on the most difficult tasks, and our clients to develop skills in running a business remotely.

We invest in technology - we release more than 30 updates and new versions of modules every month. Each module develops in proportion to the demand of the market, i.e. our customers.

For convenient after-sales communication, we provide HelpDesk connected to the store and systems: module updates 1-Click Update and Auto-Backup.

For agencies and freelancers, we launcheda Partner Program, with which our partners implement modules with our premium support and at preferred prices.

What's next.

IoT Planter

The principle of Planter is simple: connect the sensors from which you want to collect data and the devices you want to control. The system will detect your equipment and allow you to create step-by-step schemes with which to conduct plant cultivation at any scale will be automated.

You will be assisted in the operation by Assistant, which analyzes the data and takes care of your crops.

The system optimizes the quality and quantity of your crop, while minimizing the negative impact of farming on the environment.
