Our History... We made our first PrestaShop module 20 years ago

How the PrestaShow story began

About us - the history of PrestaShow

PrestaShow is a brand built around PrestaShop: from the first websites and eCommerce implementations, to proprietary modules, to comprehensive store development, migration and maintenance services. Today we develop 67 modules and 19 services for store owners, eCommerce managers, developers and agencies working with PrestaShop.

We took our first steps with websites in 2004. In the beginning, we were a small team: a programmer and a graphic designer who developed skills in design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP after hours at university.

We started with simple programming work and websites, but very quickly a direction emerged that defined us for years: eCommerce.

2008

The breakthrough came in 2008, when we received our first order for an online store. At that time we were learning about different store engines, combining graphic design with implementation, and getting a better understanding of how online sales work. Over time, PrestaShop became the natural choice, which gave us the freedom to develop, modify and build solutions tailored to the real needs of the stores.

During a university fieldwork class in Bialowieza, we received an email with our first order for an online store. Before us stood the world of eCommerce and online sales.

Intuition told us that building an online store was an interesting challenge, and we learned about several ready-made store engines. We combined graphic designs with Adobe Photoshop into templates, and modified the store according to customer requirements. We implemented the first store on KQS engines, and then PrestaShop 1.4.

It came out pretty well and before we knew it we had another client.

Our first PrestaShop implementations from 2011.

We followed the principle that nothing is impossible, and the implementation of any need is only limited by time. We grew fond of eCommerce, but had not yet considered designing modules....

Year 2012

In 2012, we created the first PrestaShop module for a custom order.

It was a solution for embedding and changing graphic banners in different places of the store.

This moment turned out to be a breakthrough for us: we saw that a well-designed module can solve a repetitive problem not in one, but in many stores.

It was then that we started thinking about developing our own products and building our offerings around PrestaShop.

We saw in modules an opportunity and a possibility to enter "this industry".

Launching prestashow.co.uk and developing its own products

2014

We already had a few simple modules on offer. Each module sold made us immensely happy and allowed us to establish contacts with online stores. We did not look back. We had ideas and wanted to create new solutions - to create standards in the market!

In 2014 we launched our own online store prestashow.pl. Along with it, we began to build a coherent offer of modules and content for the PrestaShop community.

More solutions were created, and with them the technological base for updates, licensing, support and documentation.

In the following years, we also developed a HelpDesk and knowledge base so that customers could implement and develop their stores faster.

2018

Opening up to foreign markets

As we developed our offerings, we opened up to customers outside of Poland. The store was prepared to support multiple currencies and languages, and PrestaShow began to develop module sales in foreign markets.

This direction is still evident today: current offerings include solutions for international sales, languages and domains, as well as modules supporting SEO, analytics, advertising, integrations and B2B sales.

We launched payments in PLN, EUR, GBP and USD currencies in the store and translated into English. We brought the mobile version up to scratch and launched social media: Facebook and Instagram.

2019

From modules to specialization in PrestaShop

Over time, the sale of modules alone ceased to be the only area of our business.

As of 2019, PrestaShow specializes in the PrestaShop ecosystem and combines the development of our own extensions with implementation and maintenance services.

On the brand's homepage, we emphasize that we deal with extending the functionality of stores and solving technical problems in PrestaShop.

In practice, this means a combination of modules, programming work, analytics, configuration of external services, migration, support and development of new stores.

Setting standards and creating new opportunities for small and medium-sized online stores has become our goal in action.

We have developed a category of modules that allow you to interact with your customers: the Affiliate Program and Loyalty Program modules have allowed Polish entrepreneurs to implement solutions in their online stores previously available only to the whales of the eCommerce market.

What solutions we create

In 2019, we released globally unique modules that allow 2-way integration: importing and exporting data to an online store. They have become affordable enough for a novice store owner to start integrating his store with external tools and product providers.

We released a module for lossless eCommerce analytics working on Google API, and several modules to help manage the SEO value of the store, which are still very popular today :-)

Google Integrator and PrestaShop Importer are today the best-selling modules from our offer and are chosen by stores all over Europe.

Who we work for

PrestaShow is used by online store owners, eCommerce managers, developers, freelancers and marketing agencies.

We service both smaller stores and more complex projects requiring stable architecture, custom modifications, integration and long-term support.

Such a model of operation results from our specialization: we are not a software house "for everything", but a team focused on PrestaShop and its real business applications.

Our approach is based on a combination of product and service. On the one hand, we create our own modules (there are already 35 professional modules in our store), on the other hand, we support the implementation, development and maintenance of stores.

As a result, we are familiar with PrestaShop from both the code perspective and the daily business problems of online stores.

In the current brand communication, we also emphasize the competence of the team including backend, frontend, DevOps, analytics, UX, project management and the visual layer of the store.

We invest in technology - we release more than 30 updates and new versions of modules every month. Each module develops in proportion to the demand of the market, i.e. our clients.

For agencies and freelancers, we launched a Partner Program, with which our partners implement modules with our premium support and at preferred prices.

What's next.

Where PrestaShow is headed

Dreams are the spark that materializes in the world around us. We have ideas that we realize with commitment.

The history of PrestaShow is not a closed chapter, but a process of continuous development. We continue to create modules, develop services and implement PrestaShop end-to-end store implementations.

The current offering clearly shows that we operate more broadly than we used to: from single extensions to comprehensive eCommerce development, including migrations, SEO, analytics, international sales, performance, automation and market compliance.

The added value we bring to the eCommerce market makes us happy and drives us to action.

IoT Planter

The principle of Planter is simple: connect the sensors from which you want to collect data and the devices you want to control. The system will detect your equipment and allow you to create step-by-step schemes with which to conduct plant cultivation at any scale will be automated.

You will be assisted in the operation by Assistant, which analyzes the data and takes care of your crops.

The system optimizes the quality and quantity of crops, while minimizing the negative impact of agriculture on the environment.
